Revised Concepts & Calendar

Revised Concept:
It was pretty confusing in the animatic, but in the beginning when the narration is going, there will be images that match the story. I don't know if I want them to be animated or if I could just use a moving camera to create a little more visual interest while the narrator is talking.
I don't think I need to revise the character designs, seeing them vectored they seem much different than when they are hand-drawn.
I chose the order they were in based on the relative "size" and "scariness" of the monsters the maidens turn into, but I may re-order them dependent on the pacing of each part, because I like the plot of each individual scenario. I think the way the prince and his party exit the scenes of a lot of them could be reworked and it would help with the pacing and understanding of the story.
At the end to have a little more closure, I think I will have another scene with the storybook from the beginning but this time it will have images of the prince and his unwilling servant as the princess and their "new life" together.

New Idea

So, instead of an anthology of sorts where all the characters are independent of each other, I decided to link the six main characters from the story together somehow. I'll create a prince character who will become the main character of the animation. The premise of the story then changes to follow this prince guy who goes out looking for a princess to marry. He's got this list that has the names of the story-book maidens on it and he seeks out each one in hopes of finding the perfect wife but instead finds out the monsters they really are and barely escapes their terror. I don't know the exact ending yet, perhaps the prince is at a loss and ends up with nothing or maybe his extreme negative experiences with women lead him to seek out another prince, but in the end he definitely doesn't end up with anyone on the list.
